Due to continued growth we are looking to strengthen our team with the addition of a Quality Assurance & Systems Engineer.
Based at our site in Burnley the role is to ensure that the Quality Management System meets all the requirements as stipulated in the IATF16949, ISO9001 and ISO14001 standards.
Core Responsibilities
- Ensure the QMS is maintained and updated with new customer specific, legislative, and regulatory requirements being adhered to
- Agreeing, developing, and writing procedures and processes, to support QMS improvements, whilst ensuring the relevant standards are covered
- Develop and implement Work Instructions to support the QMS procedures and processes, ensuring training and coaching is effective
- Conduct audits across the entire QMS, such as Sales, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Logistics, HR
- Leading and developing an Internal Audit team in line with our IATF 16949 and ISO Standards
- Lead Customer and accreditation body 3rd party audits
- Develop and use metrics to drive system and process improvements
- Lead continuous improvement activities to reduce waste and the cost of poor Quality
- Responsible for maintaining the Quality skills matrix, arranging relevant training to the Quality team
The Successful Candidate
- Exceptional knowledge and understanding of IATF 16949 and ISO9001
- Good understanding of ISO14001 and Health and Safety Practices
- Experience as Lead Auditor demonstrating the ability to lead, manage and coach a team
- Good working knowledge of Quality and Business systems
- Understanding of APQP, PPAP and FMEA
- Lean Manufacturing knowledge
- Understanding of engineering drawings and manufacturing processes
- Ability to work in a diverse, dynamic, & fast paced environment
- Ability to plan prioritise work
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to present data effectively
This is a permanent position on the day shift which is Monday to Thursday 7.45am till 5.00pm and Friday 7.45am till 1.00pm.
Salary is dependent upon experience and ranging from £32,000 to £35,000 per annum.
