BCW secures a sub-contract from WFEL Ltd for Infantry Vehicles.
BCW Manufacturing Group has secured a sub-contract from WFEL Ltd for the supply of specialist components for the new Boxer Mechanised Infantry Vehicles to be built in the UK for the British Army.
Part of the overall £2.3 bn contract to provide over 500 armoured vehicles to the Army, BCW and WFEL's Procurement & Quality Teams have already formed a strong working relationship and BCW Manufacturing Group were pleased to deliver the first components two weeks ahead of the requested delivery date.
Nick Eary, Business Development Director, Ansuka Group (BCW’s Parent Company), personally visited WFEL’s new facility based in Stockport to oversee delivery of the first component parts for use in Boxer vehicle manufacture at WFEL's new, purpose-built manufacturing facility.
Nick commented, “BCW are in a prime position to support this package of work and our CNC machining and extensive PPAP experience, combined with our ability to deliver, ensured our involvement in the Boxer programme. BCW Manufacturing Group services multiple sectors and can support low, medium and high-volume production. We are proud to partner with WFEL and to be part of a team contributing to the delivery of the Boxer Vehicles for the British Army.
BCW have a long history of supplying parts into the Automotive Industry as a Tier One provider, offering a complete vertically integrated manufacturing solution and it is these capabilities which helped secure this contract.
