Alun Phennah

Managing Director

Alun joined the company in April 2021, after holding various roles from Engineer through to Chief Operations Officer within Aerospace and Automotive covering various functions including General Management, Operations, Supply Chain and Compliance.

Alun has managed business's ranging from £10m through £300m in size, and most recently served as Chief Operations Officer at Aeroservices Ltd and prior to that was Senior Vice President and General Manager at Wesco Aircraft. 

Alun is an Indentured Engineer with two HNC’s, a HND and has an MBA from Liverpool University Business School.  Alun’s interest continues in keeping up to speed within the aerospace and automotive industry and particularly with General Aviation and MRO.

Dr Andy Wilson

Managing Director BCW Treatments

Andy Wilson, or should we say Dr Andy Wilson joined BCW to set up the Treatments Facility in 2015.

Previous to this Andy managed the Treatments facility at Lotus Cars in Wellingborough.

Andy gained his Doctorate at Hull University with BEng (Hons) in Engineering, Design and Manufacture with a PhD in Surface Engineering.

With Andy at the helm BCW have gained process validation for Anodising & Conversion coating from major automotive OEM’s and is widely known as ‘the go to person’ for technical support in surface treatments.

Tom Freeman

Head of Engineering

Started out as a CMM inspector back in 2013, Tom quickly had an impact leading a new program and managed the work into the manufacturing facility. Tom quickly became involved in a wider selection of projects that lead the way into more operational roles, holding positions such as Engineering Manager, Production Manager and Project Lead. Ultimately developing a rounded knowledge of internal processes and people management at a variety of levels.

Currently heading all engineering activities throughout the business. The challenge at hand is to bring manufacturing together under one umbrella, building solid and sustainable processes to support our customers’ needs and requirements across multiple sectors.

Gareth Williams

Head of Quality

Gareth Williams has been with BCW since 2010.

Starting as a machinist within a manufacturing facility, where he progressed through the Quality route, taking on a number of positions such as Quality Inspector, Quality Engineer, Senior Quality Engineer, then becoming the Quality Manager where he held this position for over 5 years.  

From this he became New Product Introduction Manager, responsible for implementing all new products within the Automotive sector of the business, using the APQP & PPAP methodologies, whilst working directly with key customers, Gareth is now certified as a Prince 2 Practitioner and Prince 2 Agile Project Manager, and obtained a distinction in his HNC for Engineering Project and Quality Management. 

As Head of Quality for the BCW Automotive division, he ensures we maintain our accreditation to IATF 16949 & ISO9001 standards, whilst driving continuous improvement throughout the business.

Jonathan O’Reilly

Head of Sales

Jonathan has been with BCW since 2004.

Following a successful apprenticeship in tool making, he has gained international operations and sales experience through various roles he has undertaken within the company.

Jonathan has since progressed into Head of Sales which he has been in position for the past 6 years his technical knowledge has been instrumental on several programmes within the group.
