BCW Engineering maintain their IATF 16949:2016 Automotive Quality Management System Standard
BCW Engineering are delighted to confirm that they have again successfully maintained their IATF16949:2016 Automotive Quality Management System Standard.
Originally achieved in 2016, BCW Engineering continues to provide Quality products both within the automotive and wheel transportation sectors. BSI recently visited BCW’s Burnley site to complete its weeklong audit before issuing the recertification.
It has been a turbulent 12 months for BCW and many other Automotive manufacturers across the UK as Covid-19 has significantly played an impact on both the workforce and supply chain.
Gareth Williams, Head of Compliance commented, “These certifications are vital to the business as they provide our current customers, and any new potential customers with the confidence that we have the ability to continually deliver products and services that meet their requirements. Our QMS supports continual improvement within the business which has never been as vital as it is today. I am very proud of the team achieving these accreditations and it shows that their commitment to continuous improvement and diligence pays off. Thank you to all those involved in achieving this.”
Alun Phennah, BCW Manufacturing Group’s Managing Director who recently joined in April 2021 explained, “ For any business the COVID pandemic has caused untold unrest & concern for all employed, then coupled with the current semiconductor shortage that is affecting the automotive supply chain, to say it has been a challenge is probably an understatement.” He added, “The re-certification of the IAFT standard is testament to the dedication and hard work of all of the team here at BCW, Gareth & his team. And this is also proof that the processes that are in place are being followed and adhered to, which further strengthens BCW in these unprecedented times.”
